Fen Farm Attacked by UFO’s

Friends have been emailing me and texting me from around the country asking what it is like to be under alien attack! Fen Farm the notorious wind factory at Conisholme has had one of its turbines disabled with one blade falling off and another severely damaged. One of the texts went so far as to suggest I might be responsible for the “alien hoax”. A long memory indeed, for this is the very same Fen Farm that went through a bitter public planning meeting and was forced onto an unwilling public by the local planning officers and Ecotricity. The evidence presented as rational and forward thinking for the erection of the wind turbines was largely gathered by Ecotricity who were supported by the usual hysterical element of the green brigade. This is the same rational forward thinking company that is now “not ruling out the possibility” that its turbine was damaged by a UFO, though the CEO of the company having suggested the damage could have been done by a cow, told a BBC reporter that he did not believe in flying cows. The farm, which according to the original specifications, has no significant visual impact, has ruined the perspective of one of the country’s last marshes, and is clearly visible from the Wolds, several miles away.

We were promised amazing amounts of energy from this factory, but recent rumours are that it is under performing as the consultants had overestimated the amount of available wind, something not noticeable in their environmental impact assessment. Presumably when the next set of performance figures comes out, the report will state targets not archived due to attack by UFO’s.

Councillor Robert Palmer, Chairman of East Lindsey District Council, who witnessed the attack, sits as a Conservative.
