The Mystery of Colour and Saturation

Having complained bitterly about the effect my camera has on the weather, I decide today, a cold overcast November day, to experiment with the macro button outdoors. Surprise, surprise, the tripod steadied the shot despite the slight breeze and the soft light brought out the colours of the fuchsia and the leaves beautifully. Still more good luck than judgement; but I did get the aperture setting correct. There is hope. Here is the shot:

    Good picture, crisp and clear, made more effective by the water droplets. Blurred view of the house in the background I find is a distraction. Sorry, can’t allow you to be perfect. We’d never hear the end of it…..
